A second half Poachers fightback preserved their unbeaten record for the new season.

A first defeat beckoned when goals from Michael Byrne who raced clear of the home defence to score with a low shot after nineteen minutes and Rob Maddox who punished defensive hesitation four minutes later put high riding S&L in charge.

It needed some good saves from James Doughty in the home goal to deny S&L further first half goals.

Richard Lavin in the visiting goal did well to save a Lewis Brooks free kick early in the second half.

Gary Bull started the comeback with twenty minutes left, heading in an accurate Liam Nimmo centre and Nimmo squared the game after 78 minutes with a solo effort, picking up Nathan Stainfield's header and beating two defenders before slotting home from twelve yards.
