Deeping Rangers  2    St Ives Town  3

Saturday, 28 August 2010

Deeping's second half fightback went unrewarded as they ended the afternoon in the bottom three of the division.

It took just eleven minutes for Shane Fox to fire St Ives in front with a volley from a Carl Foreman cross.

Seven minutes later Scott Fielding added a second for the visitors, converting Fox's ball over the home defence.

When former Outgang Road favourite David Cobb added a third Saints goal in the dying seconds of the half after Fox laid off John-Paul Duncliffe#s long throw, the contest looked all but over.

With sixteen minutes remaining Scott Musgrove cut the deficit from the penalty spot following a handball by Morgan Phillips.

The arrears were reduced further still by Ryan Oliver who converted a cross after 89 minutes, but it was too little too late for Rangers.
