Holbeach United  0    Raunds Town  3

The Shopmates came good in the closing stages to emerge victorious from this bottom of the table clash.

Both sides appeared to be lacking in confidence in the opening half which saw little goalmouth action.

Holbeach debutant Westley Lewis stung visiting keeper Brad Wilson's palms while at the other end Raunds debutant Jordan Gent headed narrowly wide set piece.

Towards the interval Sam Cole in the home goal went full length to save from Giuliano Staffieri after Chris Parr and Jamie Guney opened up the Holbeach defence.

Raunds enjoyed the better of things on resumption while the loss of Dean Elston to injury deprived the Tigers rearguard of much needed experience.

The Shopmates took the lead after 65 minutes. Parr's deep corner found substitute Kevin Dobson whose shot was blocked on the line, but Holbeach failed to clear their lines and Parr threaded a low shot through a crowded box into the far corner.

Raunds doubled their lead after 78 minutes. Addie Staffieri's flick played Dobson away and his cross was gleefully swept home by Parr.

The scoring was completed in the final minute. Holbeach were caught out by a breakaway from their corner, Addie Staffieri setting up Dobson for a simple finish.
