Whitworth made it back to back wins with this demolition of their neighbours at Hayden Road.
The Flourmen went ahead with a 23rd minute Gary Broadway own goal and extended their advantage through Jake Newman who had a free run to score after 38 minutes.
Stafan Morris put the Lankies back in the game a minute before the interval after a good build up.
Newman scored his second five minutes after the restart.
The deficit was cut by Oli Partrick's 57th minute home reply, but Tyler Merries' own goal a minute later again opened up a two goal gap..
Lee Purser scored Whitworths' fifth at the near post after 77 minutes but again Rushden & Higham responded through Curtis Long with seven minutes to play.
The Flourmen sealed their win with further goals from Newman after 85 minutes and Jonny Hazell with a penalty awarded for a Merries foul a minute from time.
