The outgoing champions are finishing the current camaign with a flourish - this Dog & Duck victory made it thirteen matches unbeaten for the Flourmen.
Michael Byrne's second minute penalty, awarded for a foul on David Sheridan, gave S&L an early advantage and they sealed the win seven minutes into the second half with a rare goal from Danny Pownall who fired a 20 yarder past home keeper Sjaun Markie.
Stuart McClarty hit the bar as S&L had the better of the contest.
