Two second half goals took Daventry back to the head of the Premier Division.

The two leading marksmen in the top flight drew blanks on this occasion, with Miles Hunter missing a first half chance before being sidelined through injury.

Ryan Oliver also missed a good opening for the home side, while Jason Lee's header from a cormer was cleared off the line by Jamie Shaw.

Russ Dunkley emerged from the supporting cast to give Daventry the lead four minutes into the second half after Tom Kinch and Tom Berwick combined and Town's win was sealed by Adam Confue two minutes past the hour mark, the midfielder heading Andy Gregory's knock back across goal.

Home keeper Jack Drury denied the visitots a late third, saving Danny Nelsons penalty.
