A new name will go on the Knockout Cup this season as St Ives joined fellow first timers Newport Pagnell in the final.

The Saints scored twice in each half to demolish hosts Daventry United at Royal Oak Way.

Declan Rogers gave St Ives a 21st minute lead with a left foot shot from 25 yards and ten minutes later Jamie Blackwell added a second goal for the visitors, punishing a slip by defender and goalkeeper.

St Ives sealed their place in the final quickly on resumption.

Ricky Dear scored their third goal six minutes into the second period, tapping in after good work by Blackwell before Blackwell's second on the hour at the far post killed off the home challenge.
