Wednesday, 17 March 2010

Bottom club Burton Park gave title outsiders Eynesbury a Hall Road scare - it took third placed Rovers until stoppage time to break the Burton resistance.

Joe Jordan was closest to a first half goal with ashot which skimmed the visiting crossbar, whie Liam Fox made a couple of important saves for Burton either side of half time.

A sweeping Park Wanderers move saw Liam Bright shoot wide and another dangerous attack ended with Simon Mitchell shooting straight at home keeper Ben Houseago.

Ian Dawkes eventually cracked the visitors two minutes into added time, firing home from long range.

Burton almost levelled straightaway but Simon Mitchell's volley found Houseago well placed to save.
