Holbeach United  3    Stewarts & Lloyds Corby  2

Saturday, 31 October 2009

A second half fightback halted Holbeach's four match losing run.

Stewarts & Lloyds went in front through Pete Sneddon after 16 minutes, and with five minutes of the first half remaining Michael Byrne doubled the champions' advantage.

The Tigers almost further behind just before the hour when Sneddon struck the crossbar.

A 63rd minute Lewis Brooks spot kick, awarded for a foul on Liam Nimmo started the fightback, and Nimmo equalised with a quarter of an hour remaining after good work by substitute Ben Crane.

The comeback was completed by a Crane winner from manager Shaun Keeble's pass after 89 minutes.
