Northampton Spencer  1    Boston Town  4

Saturday, 31 October 2009

The experience of the Poachers proved too much for the young Spencer squad at Kingsthorpe Mill.

Laszlo Lovas opened the scoring for Boston after eight minutes following good work by Jon Rowan and Paul Goodhand, with Paul Goodhand doubling the Poachers' advantage from the penalty spot five minutes later after Rowan was fouled in the area.

Defender Ben Brown added a third visiting goal with a great 30 yard strike after seventy minutes with Rowan setting up Goodhand to complete the Boston tally five minutes later.

Adam Hancock netted an 80th minute Spencer consolation after running clear of the Boston rearguard.
