Two first half goals from Will Briscoe saw the Badgers return to winning ways after two defeats.

Briscoe opened the scoring from Jimmy Moore's pass on the half hour and doubled Bugbrooke's lead five minutes later after visiting custodian Nathan Kidd parried Glen Smith's fierce strike.

A good save by Steve Spruels and follow up block by brother Nick denied the visitors a way back into the match before the break.

All Blue Cross could manage in response in the second half was a deflected Steve Muggeridge goal two minutes from the end.
