Wellingborough Town 2004  0    St Neots Town  1

Tuesday, 13 October 2009

Tabletopping St Neots extended their winning run to four games but the struggling Doughboys made a game of it at the Dog & Duck.

Tony Scully scored the vital goal after 65 minutes, firing home after substitute Liam Harrold flicked on Luke McShane's clearance.

McShane had earlier produced several fine saves to keep out the home attack although the crossbar denied Paul Garrett a second Saints goal in the last attack of the contest.

Both sides ended the evening a man down with Nick Harrison seeing red for Wellingborough and ex-Doughboy Jon Mitchell dismissed for a second caution for the visitors.
