Buckby are determined to hang on to the Hillier Senior Cup and kicked off their defence of the trophy by claiming the scalp of Southern League Midland Division tabletoppers Rothwell.

Sean Calcutt gave the Bucks the lead with a shot from a difficult angle after fourteen minutes.

Further goals from Mark Hewitt, a great 30 yard strike after 58 minutes, and Dan Holman with a diving header from a Craig Kelly corner four minutes later sealed Buckby's place in the last eight.

Dom Hallows replied for the Bones with a 76th minute penalty conceded by Glenn Walker.
