Boston Town  6    Rothwell Corinthians  1

Saturday, 10 October 2009

Boston found their goal touch to demolish the visiting Corinths who now find themselves level on points with the bottom markers, albeit with games in hand.

Old stager Gary Bull put the Poachers into a fourth minute lead, converting Matt Price's quickly taken free kick and five minutes later Paul Goodhand added a second set up by Mark Foster and Bull.

Further goals from Liam Ogden, a low shot after good work from Bull and Jon Rowan after 33 minutes and Bull with a lob over stranded keeper Brad Wilson two minutes later had Boston;s win all but certain by the interval.

There was no let up after the interval with the crossbar denying substitute Ollie Pinner and Goodhand in quick succession.

Matt Price made it five a minute past the hour, firing home from 22 yards from a Pinner lay off and Goodhand scored his second of the afternoon six minutes later, tapping in from close range after Pinner, Price and Bull worked the opening.

Chris Dunn scored an 86th minute Corinths consolation.
