St Neots opened up a four point gap at the top after inflicting a first defeat of the season on their hosts at Communications Park although Daventry still have three games in hand.

After a goalless first half, St Neots became the first team to score against the home's side defence in league action this season when Paul Garrett broke the deadlock three minutes after the restart, firing home a sub lime free kick awarded for Chris Godwin's foul on Jon Mitchell.

Josh Sozzo clinched the points for the Saints with an 89th minute second, netting from close range to round off good work by fellow substitute Luke Knight.
