Deeping Rangers  0    Newport Pagnell Town  4

Saturday, 10 October 2009

Rangers' four match winning run was left in tatters by visitors Newport as they repeated last season's Outgang Road success.

Darren Lynch gave Newport the lead in the dying seconds of the first half, collecting a James Fletcher pass and scoring at the third attempt after his first two shots were blocked.

Rob Macdonald doubled the Swans' lead three minutes past the hour mark after the ball was backheeled to him by Nabil Shariff and Sharif's great strike from distance made it three for the visitors with a quarter of an hour remaining.

Keith Williams completed Newport's tally after 84 minutes, firing home a free kick with the aid of a deflection of the defensive wall.
