After winning his first cup tie as Desborough boss in midweek, Martin McLeod celebrated his first league success at the helm as Ar Tarn moved off the foot of the table at the expense of their victims.

The visitors had a second half escape when an apparent handball by James Ryan went unseen, while Tom Liversedge grazed a post with a header for the Doughboys.

The match seemed to be heading for a goalless stalemate when new recruit Jamie O'Neill snatched victory for Desborough after 88 minutes, turning the ball over the line from six yards after Michael Keall turned Lee Rowbotham's corner across goal.
