Despite playing against ten men for almost an hour St Neots slipped to another defeat with their worst performance of the season.

Martin Thompson, who had hit the home crossbar in the first minute, gave the Doughboys a 14th minute lead after Steve Dogbe failed to cut out Freddie Avill's centre but Wellingborough were reduced to ten men by Arron Parkinson's dismissal around the half hour mark.

St Neots failed to capitalise on their man advantage and Nick Mason's 86th minute penalty, awarded for Nathan Eno's foul on Jon Mitchell, sealed Wellingborough's win.

The Saints had Eno red carded for conceded the spot kick and Dogbe was also dismissed late in stoppage time.
