The Doughboys picked up their first home point in three matches against Boston, and with the thirteen place gap between the clubs this has to go down as a good point for Joe Smythe's side.

There were few chances in an even first half while after the break Boston dominated with Nathan Iley and Laszlo Lovas missing good openings, Miles Mason went close late on and Gary Bull had a penalty shout rejected.

Wellingborough's best effort saw Mike Houghton thwarted by Nicky Conroy in the visiting goal.

Wellingborough: Michael Freeman, Adam Bridgeford, James Russell (Ashley Brown), Joe Cossey, Matt Harris, Ryan Lee, Jack Mawdsley (Sean Quirke), Dan Spaughton, James Daldy (Danny Rogers), Mike Houghton, Jonny Hazell.

Boston: Nicky Conroy, Lawrence Lambley (Miles Mason), Matt Price, Ben Dixon (Mark Foster), Shaun Baker, Nathan Iley, Laszlo Lovas, Paul Goodhand, Matt Kennedy, Gary Bull, Liam Ogden (Jack Pemberton).

Wellingborough are now without a win in eleven games, the Poachers undefeated in eight.
