Saturday, 28 March 2009

These clubs have a close rivalry dating back to their Division One days and this proved another close contest at the Dog & Duck.

Neither side was able to break the deadlock and the afternoon ended with honours even.

A wind influenced game saw Nick Mason and Jonny Hazell go close for the Doughboys in the first half with Jamie Shaw firing over for Sleaford.

The visitors had the better of the second half with Kris Jones heading wide from a set piece and Lee Llewellyn firing wide after rounding goalkeeper Michael Freeman. Gavin Bell was closest to breaking the deadlock when his shot beat Freeman but was cleared by a covering defender.
