Tuesday, 17 February 2009

The Poachersx moved up to third place in the Premier Division with victory in an ill tempered derby contest.

Liam Nimmo's ninth minute goal from close range had the Tigers in front early on after good work by Adam Jackson and Ross Nichols.

A goalline clearance by Matt Price denied Jackson a second goal for Holbeach, but Paul Goodhand levelled with a 32nd minute spot kick following a foul on Gary Bull by Dean Elston who was red carded as the last man.

Both sides had a man dismissed ten minutes into the second half, home midfielder Nathan Collins and Holbeach's Jackson..

Goodhand's second goal of the night, an 18 yard strike from Nathan Iley's pull back after 66 minutes gave Boston maximum points and they're now unbeaten in twelve games.

Boston: Nick Conroy, Ben Denham, Matt Price, Ben Dixon, Shaun Baker, Nathan Collins, Mark Foster, Paul Goodhand, Nathan Iley, Gary Bull, Matt Kennedy (Liam Ogden).

Holbeach: James Doughty, Adam Broom, Matt Warfield, Danny Hussey, Dean Elston, Ross Nichols, Johnny Allen, Steve Appleby, Tommy Treacher, Liam Nimmo, Adam Jackson.
