Premier Division

Raunds Town  1    Sleaford Town  2

Saturday, 25 August 2007

Premier newcomers Sleaford are up and running after this win at Kiln Park, which left the Shopmates next to bottom without a win to their name.

Jamie Shaw has made the step up to Premier football look easy and he took just four minutes to give Sleaford the lead from a Miles Hunter through ball. An Andy Scott penalty save from Callum Ridgway ensured that the visitors held until six minutes from time when defender David Coales levelled for the Shopmates after Dan Thompson intercepted Scott's weak clearance.

Sleaford were not to be denied that first win though with Jason Sedlan scoring the decider after 86 minutes from Pete Sutton's through pass.
