Stotfold's FA Cup exertions and long injury list caught up with them as they suffered a shock reverse against visiting Tring. The visitors won the tie with an 83rd minute goal from Greg Shaw whose shot took a deflection off team mate Ian Wilkinson to wrongfoot Scott Waters in the home goal.

Lee Allinson was twice denied by goalline clearances but the visitors deserved to progress on the day.
