New look Stotfold banished memories of a seven goal drubbing at Occupation Road last term, with three of last season's Eagles squad sharing the goals.

A lively start saw Louis Lee give Stotfold the lead after seven minutes after Ryan Nicholl's pass was headed down by Lee Allinson, with Mark Forbes marking his eve of season return to S&L colours with the equaliser five minutes later with a superbly executed free kick from just outside the box.

Callum Donnelly's 23rd minute effort from 20 yards gave the Eagles the lead for a second time and their victory was secured four minutes into the second half, Tawhid Juneja on target with a header from a corner.
