Premier debutants Sleaford are still searching for their first top flight points after fellow promotees Kempston edged a see saw contest as Eslaforde Park.

Lewis Hook, one of the few survivors from the promotion winning Walnut Boys' squad, gave Kempston the lead from close range after 24 minutes, but Sleaford levelled through master marksman Jamie Shaw in the final minute of the first half after Pete Sutton's effort was saved.

On resumption Sleaford went in front with a 46th minute Miles Hunter goal after the young striker took on the visiting defence, but Matt Cheveralls squared the contest seven minutes later after home keeper Andy Scott failed to hold onto a cross under pressure from Ross Course. The visitors clinched victory ten minutes from time with Course the matchwinner for the Walnut Boys with a great strike from the edge of the box.
