Monday, 21 April 2008

Blackstones dumped holders St Ives out of the Hinchingbrooke Cup in extra time at Westwood Road.

The home side looked set to progress when a Robbie Blowers own goal gave them a 57th minute lead, but Dan Cotton hauled Stones on terms two minutes from the end of normal time with a shot from distance which took two deflections on its way into the net.

Stones won it with a goal from top scorer Phil Stebbing six minutes from the end of extra time.
