Saturday, 19 April 2008

Champions Town's hopes of emulating Whitworths by going through their league season without loss were dashed by Sileby's Sam Callear.

It looked like business as usual as Tom Berwick's 30th goal of the season gave Daventry a 14th minute lead but they were pegged back by Callear in the final minute of the first half.

Daventry had Berwick red carded and lost Joe Mellings to injury, Luke Walker deputising between the posts.

With the game heading for stalemate Sileby won it with Callear goals after 89 and 90 minutes.
