New champions met old at Communications Park and the Flourmen's season ended with ninth match without a win.

Daventry took first half control with the division's leading marksman Tom Berwick giving them a 17th minute lead.

Six minutes later strike partner Danny Nelson added a second and seven minutes before the interval Nelson added a third for Town.

Kris Line replied for the Flourmen after 43 minutes.

Town wrapped up the win with further goals from Ryan Byrne after 51 minutes and Danny Finlay after 77.

Whitworths kept battling away and Dean King scored their second goal twelve minutes from time with Carlton Ellwood reducing the deficit further in the final minute.
