Wednesday, 15 August 2007

The Tigers collected their first win of the new campaign with this narrow defeat of a Stones side still without a win.

Kevin Ainslie gave the visitors the lead after twelve minutes with a great strike but Holbeach were on terms nine minutes before the interval through Paul Sheehan's own goal from Tommy Treacher's cross. Nicky Conroy in the Tigers goal made a superb save to prevent Graeme Epps from restoring Stones' lead at the end of the half

Liam Nimmo won the contest for Holbeach with a goal two minutes into the second half, converting another centre from Treacher.
