Daventry United  2    Huntingdon Town  1

Saturday, 09 February 2008

Huntingdon suffered a double setback in their promotion quest.

They came off second best against their promotion rivals and suffered the loss of Ben Cottingham with a knee injury which caused a lengthy delay before the stricken player was airlifted to Coventry Hospital.

Adrian Pestell gave United a 25th minute lead from a corner only for Richard Moore to reply for Huntingdon with a 15 yard shot two minutes later.

Mchael Parkes scored the decisive goal, a deflected 20 yard shot, with twenty minutes to play and United are now in a great position to return to the top flight at the first attempt.
