Saturday, 26 January 2008

The Robins won for the first time in eight outings to inflict Eynesbury's first reverse under recently appointed manager Al Lenihan.

Reuben Max-Grant gave Buckingham a third minute lead, heading in a cross from manager Tony Joyce, and they extended their advantage on the half hour through Nick Bines whose cross shot found the net via the inside of the post.

Keith Newby made it three for the Robins after 41 minutes, a close range effort from a free kick, but in the dying seconds of the half Rovers replied with a Jamie Graham spot kick after Ian Dawkes was sent tumbling.

Top scorer Joel McCormick's 55th minute breakaway effort sealed Buckingham's success with Graham's 79th minute free kick from just outside the area giving Rovers a consolation.
