Wednesday, 26 December 2007

This first league meeting of the clubs went Sleaford's way against the ten man Wakes, who had goalkeeper Aaron Bellairs sent off midway through the second half for bringing down Matt Lunn.

A goalline clearance by Wakes skipper Aaron Ridout thwarted Jason Sedlan in a game of few clear chances.

The winning goal arrived after 73 minutes, Lunn the marksman with a scrambled effort from Jamie Shaw's cross.

Bourne had a late shout for a penalty for handball but the referee waved play on.
