Sleaford Town  2    Long Buckby  2

Saturday, 24 November 2007

Top scorer Ben Foster came to Buckby's rescue as their first visit to Eslaforde Park earned their eighth stalemate of the campaign.

A lively first half saw a 21st minute Darren Harmon own goal from a Jamie Shaw corner hand Sleaford the lead, with teenage hot shot Tom Siddons doubling the advantage eight minutes later after intercepting a square pass across the back four from Harmon.

Buckby replied through Foster who converted Danny Duggan's right wing cross at the near post after 31 minutes and the striker's eighteenth goal of the season ten minutes into the second half gave the Bucks a share of the spoils. Foster collected the ball with his back to goal and turned to fire home with his left foot.

Thereafter Buckby dominated proceedings but a winning goal proved elusive.
