Badgers debutant Ben Thompson enjoyed a start to remember for his new club as they stunned high riding visitors Huntingdon.

Thompson marked his arrival from Wroxham with a twenty minute first half hat trick. He opened the scoring after five minutes with a stunning lob from 35 yards, doubled his tally after ten minutes, latching on to Glen Smith's crossfield pass and rounding the keeper and made it three with twenty five minutes on the watch, firing home from ten yards.

Mike Anker could only turn a Brett Bellamy free kick into his own net after 35 minuts to give Huntingdon a glimmer of hope but the home side's victory was sealed five minutes from time by a Dave Drinkwater spot kick awarded for Andy Brown's handball from a Dan brown cross.
