Fords crashed to a fourth successive defeat in the face of a sustained second half onslaught from the Eagles. After a goalless first half which saw Dean McElroy's near post flick hit the post and a goalline clearance thwart Ryan Frater Stotfold took a 55th minute lead through McElroy, who fired home from the right hand side of the box, and thereafter the visiting net bulged at regular intervals. Nick Nolan came off the bench to score a second after 65 minutes from a Junior George pull back and in form striker Jason Thomas put his name on the scoresheet after 71 and 75 minutes. His first goal was a solo effort and his second was from a tight angle. The last word went to Paul Harrington who scored a 30 yard chip with seven minutes left.
