S&L completed a five day double over the Motormen thanks to a 55th minute goal from Sean Brennan. Chris Caswell was twice thwarted by home keeper Roger Leeson in the first half. The breakthrough arrived when Jamie Gilsenan's ball to the far post was knocked back by Caswell for Greig McIlwain whose shot was spilled by the keeper allowing Brennan to slot home. S&L survived a late Fords onslaught which saw the Motormem force a number of corners. The defeat leaves Fords looking anxiously over their shoulders as the three sides directly below them all picked up points.
