A powerful second half display from Sleaford saw them run out comfortable winners and move into the top three of the Division One table. Thrapston took a 16th minute lead through Jon Shanks, but the scores were level at the interval rhanks to Jon Machin's 26th minute headed reply for the home side.

Lee Llewellyn gave Sleaford the lead a minute past the hour and within five minutes the match was virtually over as a contest. Jamie Shaw scored the home side's third goal after 66 minutes to leave the match beyond the tiring visitors. A 78th minute Steve Rowland spot kick made it four before Mark Brown marked a rare sunstitute appearance by replying with a header for Thrapston after 81 minutes. Llewellyn scored his second goal of the afternoon after 84 minutes with Robin Holderness rounding off the scoring a minute later.
