This derby success lifted Wellingborough into the top two in Division One but they were run close by the resurgent Lankies who led at the interval thanks to Matty Bell's 17th minute opener, Jamie Russell hauled the Doughboys on terms twelve minutes into the second half and with ten minutes remaining Jon Mitchell continued his fine form in front of goal with the decider for Wellingborough.
