A goal on the hour from Jarrod Smith, who followed up after Nigel Blower saved from John Paul Duncliffe, gave Deeping caretaker manager Pat O'Keeffe a point in his first game at the Rangers helm. The Eagles had taken a first half lead with Steve Blower's 22nd minute left footed free kick after a foul on Dwayne Grant. Late on Deeping pressed for a winner with debutant Steve Colangelo denied by the crossbar.
