Wellingborough Town 2004  1    Bugbrooke St Michaels  1

Saturday, 04 March 2006

The midday kick off didn't help the Doughboys' promotion prospects even though they are now unbeaten in nine outings. This was their fifth draw during that sequence without loss and later in the day they were overhauled by ON Chenecks. At the break Wellingborough led with a 40th minute James Daldy goal after dominating the helm, but things unravelled for the Doughboys after the break. Mitch Blande was red carded for foul and abusive language to the referee and they were pegged back by a scrambled 65th minute reply from the Badgers' Craig Curran. Late on the ten men thought they had snatched victory but Craig Norman's effort was ruled out for a push.
