A last minute penalty miss cost Sleaford the leadership of Division One as visitors Corinths extended their unbeaten run to five games. After a bright start by the visitors they fell behind to a Jamie Shaw wonder goal after 34 minutes, the Sleaford goal ace collecting a Carl Sedlan pass and leaving a trail of defenders in his wake before finishing from close range. Ashley Hustwayte levelled for Corinths three minutes before the break but on resumption Sleaford quickly regained the lead with a 47th minute strike from Robin Holderness who ran clear of the visiting defence on the right to score. With five minutes left John Sturgess equalised with a header after the home defence failed to deal with a deep corner. In the final minute a foul on Shaw gave Sleaford the chance to win the contest but Jon Machin's kick rebounded to safety off the post.
