Buckingham's hopes of getting back in the title race suffered a setback as they suffered a third successive defeat, champions Cogenhoe rekindling their own hopes of honours with this success. Simon Underwood opened the scoring for the Cooks after 17 minutes and with two minutes of the first half remaining he doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Neil Champelovier made the points safe for the champions after 62 minutes before an 80th minute own goal by James Thatcher gave the Robins their consolation.
