Wootton Blue Cross  1    Bourne Town  1

Saturday, 26 November 2005

These sides shared the spoils for a second time this term, repeating their 1-1 Abbey Lawn stalemate on the season's opening day. Bourne's recent recruit Sam Bettinson gave them a 16th minute lead from close range, converting a Tommy Horwood free kick flicked on by Chris Gray and the Wakes held their advantage until five minutes from time when Craig Daniel collected a Chris Johnson pass and shot home from inside the box to equalise for Blue Cross who are now unbeaten in three outings. Wootton missed a chance to win it on 87 minutes when a foul on Steve Gentle saw a penalty awarded, but Darek Jozwiak's spot kick was saved by rookie goalkeeper Ben Derbyshire.
