The holders booked a quarter final with Sileby by the skin of their teeth, winning a penalty shootout to put Chenecks out. The first 90 minutes failed to produce any goals, but Star went in front five minutes into extra time with a Jason Gray own goal, the defender turning an Angus Hepburn cross into his own net. Paul Tebbutt hailed Chenecks on terms after 103 minutes. With no further goals it went to penalties with Star running out 4-3 winners. Ronnie Fortune, Darren Paling, Andy Neal and Gary Roddis were the holders' successful marksmen.
