Long Buckby  4    Boston Town  3

Saturday, 19 November 2005

Boston missed the chance to go top of the table as Buckby produced a stunning comeback to pick up three vitak points in their relegation battle. Paul Goodhand continued his fine form in front of goal to give the Poachers a two goal lead, scoring after 14 and 33 minutes. His opener came after he intercepted a poor clearance by home keeper Steve King and his second was a shot into the roof of the net from a corner. In between the crossbar had denied Shaun Baker another goal for Boston. Jon Crockett reduced the arrears after 43 minutes after bursting through the visiting defence, but sixty seconds later Gary Bull's 16th goal of the campaign restored Boston's two goal margin after some trickery from Matt Stares opened up the Bucks defence. A well taken Darren Harmon strike after 47 minutes put Buckby back in the hunt and two goals in the space of two second half minutes turned the contest on its head. Justin McKenzie's 25 yard strike squared the match after 75 minutes, and two minutes later Crockett scored his second after Boston failed to clear a corner.
