Injury hit Cogenhoe made their exit against one of the Vase favourites at Compton Park. Essex Senior League leaders AFC Hornchurch booked a Second Round place thanks to a 21st minute goal from Danny Heale whose 18 yard effort bobbled through a crowd of players. The Cooks had Jamie Wright red carded for alleged use of the elbow after just five minutes play, and despite a good second half display it was too big a serback for Adam Sandy's men to overcome.
