A goal in each half saw Wootton win through in the Vase. A 32nd minute spot kick from captain Darek Jozwiak, awarded after a foul on Chris Johnson, gave them an interval lead while visiting keeper Barry White was dismissed for disputing the award too vociferously. Steve Gentle added a 58th minute second from close range. Mark Saunders replied for Royston on the hour.
