Garsington: Damien Spiers

Bletchingdon: Andy McMahon, Matty Holton, Ben Foster, Mark Gaul

This was a match which showed Garsington are not the cannon fodder many think. They more than matched Bletchingdon during the first half.  Damien Spiers scored a tap in for Garsington after 25 minutes following great work from William Baleham on the wing for Garsington. Garsington looked to be taking that lead into half time but a magnificent run and cross from Richard Wells was finished expertly by Andy McMahon.

The second half was one way traffic as Bletchingdon sent on “vrsace model” Matty Holton and “Bee Gee’s lookalike” Ben Foster. Both scored excellent goals and Mark Gaul finished off proceedings making it 4 -1 to the visitors. The referee had to check his match card afterwards because to everyone it appeared tht Notts County striker Lee Hughes had come on as sub, but his fears were mislayed when it turned out to be Garsington Player Manager Garry Trinder.
