The away team were dominant in the first half, taking a deserved lead  at the midway point after some quick football down the left wing culminated in a tap in when the ball was squares to the on rushing striker. The away side should have had a 2 or 3 goal lead at half time but a combination of poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping kept the visitors at bay.

The second half was a more even game and Charlton got the equaliser with about ten minutes left. The half was scrappy which suited Charlton at times helping them get a foothold back in the game. The away team may still have won it late on but another series of fine saves by the Charlton keeper meant the teams could not be separated.  Full time 1-1
The game was played in good spirits and well refereed throughout.
