Charlton: Mark McGrogen

Charlton won their first game of the season with a one nil win over local rivals Yarnton. Both teams had chances in the first half but a great individual goal by winger Mark McGrogen put the home side ahead on 10 minute mark.
The home side could've had a penalty in the second half too when Zak Blackman was fouled on the edge of the box but the referee decided it was just outside. There was a penalty shout for Yarnton on 60 minutes in but the ref waved away the appeal. Yarnton should've equalised after a shot from 6 yards out was put wide after some good possession play. Both teams created chances in the match but it was the early goal which was the difference and Charlton held on for the 3 points.
